Tom Locke - Co-Founder
As CTO of LiveLogix, Tom created the Logix meta-programming system for Python. Having circled the globe (living in Boston, then Bangalore) in search of the American Start-Up Dream, he returned to his roots in rural Warwickshire to create new paradigms in web services and programming. His first foray was to create the popular open source plugin for Ruby on Rails called Hobo (www.hobocentral.net). Since its launch three years ago, Hobo has gained thousands of users across the world (a recently released Hobo e-book has already been downloaded over 17,000 times), and a thriving community of web developers dedicated to elegant, valuable code. Tom is also a a co-author of Prototype and Scriptaculous in Action from US publishers, Manning. Tom loves code, but hates waste, which is the reason Panda Site Builder exists. Nigel Powell - Co-Founder
Nigel is a serial entrepreneur, veteran technology journalist and author. His first tech start up was launched during the dawn of the micro computer era and since then he's found time to spend 16 years as a technology columnist and feature writer for The Times and Sunday Times in London, as well as the resident technology pundit on Sky Television's Global Village program.
His last foray into startup land was as President Europe for MP3.com, until its sale to Vivendi Universal in 2000. Nigel founded Artisan Technology with Tom over six years ago, as a way to give back to the Internet community in some way. Panda Site Builder is the latest example of this desire to make the Web more accessible to people and businesses everywhere. He has an honours degree in law (LLB) and a Masters degree in business administration (MBA) and spends far too much time worrying about the mysterious popularity of reality TV.
